Easter Seals Southeast Wisconsin supports the 2010 census because...

An estimated 6.4 million people were missed in the 2000 census (mostly lower income, racial and language minorities, individuals with disabilities)

That is an estimated $478 Million of net funds lost due to undercounted individuals.  If you are an individual that works in the nonprofit sector or with any underserved population, please ensure that you make sure your clients are all partaking in the 2010 Census.  Government funding for nonprofits are affected by the census and more and more individuals today need our help!  Nothing negative will come from taking the 2010 US Census. All information collected is kept confidential and not shared with other government agencies.

Census forms will be mailed out to households this March. It is a simple one page, 10 question form that will take about 10 minutes to complete. Please have that form mailed back to the Census bureau on or before April 1st 2010, or a Census worker might call or come to your house.

Be an advocate in 2010 and be sure that everyone counts this year!
